Getting 7-9 hours of sleep a night is perfectly fine for somebody who wants to "work hard", the question becomes how much time are you wasting while you are awake? You don't need to sacrifice your sleep, which is extremely important, to be successful, you need to spend the time you are awake as efficiently as you can.
